What changed on PREMRED in March: faster zapping, sharper EPG

March was a heads-down month. Here's what landed for everyone, no opt-in required.

Zapping at 200ms

The median time to switch channels dropped from 1.4s to 0.2s after we moved the segment loader off the main thread. You'll feel it most on Fire Sticks and older Android boxes.

EPG, but actually fast

The new EPG indexes 14 days of programming locally. Scrolling stays at 60fps even on the slowest device we test on (a 2017 Mi Box). Source data refreshes every 90 minutes.

Smaller wins

  • Per-channel volume memory — no more shouting at adverts
  • Catch-up scrubbing now snaps to chapter markers
  • Multi-audio picker remembers your last choice
